*Spoilers ahead*

This book was a mess.
Horrible writing was the least of its issue.

Ive never read about a more useless mafia hero then Nico.
The guy was an embarrassment for all male main leads. He was so useless and annoying. He wasn't capable of doing anything. Not one thing.
He couldn't keep the promise he made to his brother which was to use Lily(the h) to get to Ronan(villian). He decided to end his game of trapping lily after one meeting with her. All it took was some random cute girl for him to forget about his promise to his brother.
After that he decided to give up lily to get his wife back. A wife that he hates. Because what would people in the "mafia" say if he let his wife die. *Eyeroll*
He promises a pregnant lily he would get her back. But once she is gone back to her father. That promise vanishes. Not once does he try to get in touch with her or try to get her back.
After 8 months lily finally grows some balls and runs away from her father and back to Nico. Where she decides to stay as Nico's other woman because Nico isn't man enough to do something about Gia.
Lily's bother and his friend have to get rid of Gia to get Lily's son a legitimate title in the Vitale family.
Ronan the guy who they were after was finally caught because he kidnapped Lily not because Nico and Alessio made some cool plan to trap him.

The Vitale's were the most useless mafia family in this book. The Mancinis have ten times more balls then them.

Lily, what to say about Lily. How stupid can a person get? How stupid? She wasn't naive and innocent as the author claims, she was an imbecile.

Shes forced to move to New York under new identity from Lily Mancini to Lily Williams (I know, how creative was the author lol)
She decides to go to dinner with a random man she met at the bar. Who has told her nothing about himself.
Two days later he makes a copy of the key to her house and she is okay. A guy that she knows absolutely nothing about. All she knows is that his name is Nico and he drives a Lamborghini.
Hes not even smart enough to give a non Italian name. He has employees with Italian names coming over and is vague about his "family business" anyone with two brain cells would try to put two and two together. But our lily is too stupid.
She spends months with him but she knows next to nothing about him, she doesn't even try to ask him about his life or family.
After she finds out Nico is mafia and she is pregnant with his child her smart idea is to quickly marry Ronan the guy who beats her up and claim that the child is his. "To protect it"

I've lost brains cells trying to find logic in this book.

If you like dark romance, forced marriage with a really tense twist this book is perfect for you!!
You need to belive me when i say: this book was a rollercoaster of emotions.

Lily is a very strong woman and is used to life in the dark world of the society.
Her parents are a part of a mafia , which is why she had a very hard childhood.
Not only did she get almost no love at all from her parents but she also has to marry a man twice her age just because her parents force her to.

Nico is good looking, protective and possessive man. Coincidentally he is also
the enemy.
He would do anything for Lily even though he knows it's wrong and dangerous, he can't even deny his attraction to her because he never felt this close to a woman.

Watching them both get together was very exciting at the beginning because as you can already guess Lily didn't know Nico was the enemy.
The question is: What would you do when the original plan doesn't work out and you fall in love with the enemy?
For me, both are an incredibly strong ans powerful couple and simply belong together.
Lily is a really strong-willed woman and Nico appreciates Lily and would do anything to protect her.
The combination of them is just perfect!!

I fell for Nico Vitale in the first book, Ruthless King, being the younger brother of Alessio, who was tricked into marrying Gia. Nico was desperately unhappy as well as a doting uncle and I couldn't wait to read his story as he so deserved his very own HEA.  Nico's story did not disappoint my expectations.

We are introduced to Lily, a typical head mafia's innocent daughter who had led a extremely protected and sheltered life and at 18, was destined to marry an older mafia boss who, quite frankly was brutal and also an enemy of the Vitale family. I loved the way his brutal history was linked to book 1 - a must read if you haven't already!

Nico sets out to kidnap the bride to be, Lily as an act of revenge and the author takes us through a page turning, emotional, tense, roller coaster of a ride with me shouting at the characters decisions and close to tears at some points, yes I was really was rooting for Nico and Lily!  I never saw the twist at the end coming.  You won't get any spoilers from me and I cannot wait to read about Carter, the dark and mysterious third brother, in the next book.

If you are a fan of mafia romance, this is the book for you, I couldn't put it down and didn't want it to end. The book flowed perfectly and I'm really pleased that I have found another amazing author, especially as this is only her second published book, you would never have guessed that from the quality of writing.  This is my honest review of a complimentary book I received.

Overall this book was pretty good. It’s a fast-paced mafia romance and the second book in an inter-connected series although it can be read as a stand-alone.

I have to honestly say that in my opinion, this read like a Wattpad fanfic version of Twisted Pride by Cora Reilly. Is that a bad thing? Not necessarily. I still enjoyed this book. It had some laugh out loud funny parts, such as Lily’s bodyguard Mario being scared that she’s wearing heels because if anything happens to her again on his watch, he’ll be in big trouble. Should that be funny? Probably not. But it was laugh out loud funny to me. I absolutely loved the side characters, especially Carter l and I really can’t wait to read his book, if he gets one🤞🏽

Definitely check trigger warnings before reading this book. Not sure if this counts as a spoiler but just in case: ⚠️ SPOILER AHEAD: brief but explicit descriptions of physical abuse of both a woman and a child. Brief mild violence references, including a brief description of someone being shot through the heart. Brief moderate sexual references for a couple with an age gap of 30 years (both 18+). It also contains cheating, kidnapping, pregnancy, and a toxic family relationship⚠️

PROS: 4 words: fast paced mafia romance. Nico, Carter, and Alessio. Nico is a sweetheart despite a key member of the Vitale family mafia, although I don’t know what he does but I probably just overlooked it. Carter, the enforcer was just downright lovable. Can I pinpoint exactly what about him was so amazing? No. But was he my favorite character from the book? Yes. And while we didn’t see much of Alessio, Capo of the Vitales, in this book, the love of him from the first book carried over in addition to his support of Nico not wanting to harm or use Lily despite wanting vengeance for his wife and daughter.

CONS: The FMC (Lily) was a bit very much so annoying at times and also very naive which, to be fair she’s only 18. Also the ending felt a bit rushed.

Overall I enjoyed this book and if you need a quick pick me up or you’re short of your reading goal and need a quick book to reach it, this book works but don’t forget to CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS.

I was privileged to receive an ARC of this and these are my honest thoughts.

This is part of the Vitale Family series (Book 2). I did not read the first in the series and I don't think it's necessary to read it. This is standalone. I thought it was good. I liked that it took a different angle than most of the mafia romances I have read. Lily is sweet, dutiful, and totally nieve. Nico is instantly drawn to Lily, even though she is a means to get revenge on a rival. She is risking her very life to be with him. I think Nico recognizes this, but it doesn't stop him from taking what he wants. The danger to Lily is tangible. It makes for a fast read. Overall I enjoyed it!

I fell in love with Nico and Lily in this story. Nico is the second book in the series and follows his vengeance to help his brother get back at Ronan who’s from another Mafia for hurting his family. So Nico is tasked to kidnap Lily who is betroth to Ronan, but what comes as a job turns into something more and tests the relationship this couple has. I definitely got into this book as it had all the feels of what their relationship went through because of so many obstacles standing in the way.. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I absolutely love these Vitale brothers, when they fall they fall hard. Lily is such an innocent naive girl thrown into the city alone. Nico, the middle Vitale brother, is anything but innocent, these two should never work, but from the very first meeting they have that spark. This book had everything I wanted in a read, romance with a bit of suspense thrown in there .What a great read in this series, now I can not wait for Carter's book.

OMG!!! Such an action packed series so far! Nico promised his brother Alesio to make his father in law Ronan pay for what he did to Alesio and his family. The plan is, for Nico to kidnap Lily who is betrothed to Ronan. However, things will go sideways, when sparks fly. I loved the characters in this story and I can't wait to see what's next in store for this family. I volunteered to review this story.

Loved, loved, loved this story of Nico and Lily. This second book covers a variety of taboo social situations. Married man, other woman, unplanned pregnancy, vicious wife, supportive family, abusive villain, plenty of action and adventure, traitor status, rejection of family and so much more. An excellent love story. You will not be disappointed, A must read.

Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Action-packed
Original
Page-turner
Romantic
Scary
Steamy
Tragic
Twisted
Unpredictable
Wonderful characters

This series has been a joy to read so far. Now we get Nico's story. Nico was introduced in the first book as Alessio's younger brother, loyal to a fault but trapped in an unhappy marriage. He meets Lily in this book, and sparks definitely fly! This story was definitely a rollercoaster, keeping the pages flying.

Cards that are delt for our life

Lily was delt a band hand for her life. Being forced to marry a man twice her age and was told to deal with the physical abuse. Nico shouldn't have gone after Lily knowing he was married and couldn't be with her.
To Nico's credit, he did try to reach her once she was forced back home, but didn't without to cause a war.

Lily is a mafia princess, sheltered by her family and due to be married off, but Nico her files rival has other ideas, that include taking her for himself in revenge. Well written desire fulled fast paced, enemies to lovers romance, a great addition to the series but can be read as a standalone.

Great Read

Loved this book, Nico and Lily were so well suited. Their chemistry was burning hot. God I hated Ronan he was just so evil and was a good character and behaved like a real bad mafia guy. I think this book had the perfect amount of everything, very good read. Well done

Vengeful Prince

It was good. I loved Nico and Lily interactions. However, how the author wrote the herione, I wanted to scream. I've read naive heriones in the mafia world, but Lily takes the cake. Some of the choices she made, it was obvious how she didn't think it through.

I loved Nico and Lily unlike the first book I felt the chemistry between the mc’s rather than toward the end of the book. I loved how he always put her first and always tried to do right by her.

it was good
This story was a little more sappy than the last one but I loved it. I was happy to read about "Prince charming" the story was good and sweet, just a little repetitive with the kidnappings. But I was glad that it wasn't as bloody as the last one.
Also super happy that some people had a drastic end. Hopefully we get another Vitale story 😁

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

WOW.... Revenge can be sweet😎

Nico decided to help take down Ronan Irish mob boss after what he did to Alessio wife Anna. He promise Alessio his payback. Finding out Ronan planned a alliance with the Chicago Italian mob by marriage with Lily. Nico plan to kidnapped Lily for Ronan. Well that became a problem when Nico started to fall for Lily even thou he is married. Lily not happy with the marriage arrangement and finding out Ronan is abusive did not even her own family listen with death ears. What hurt the most was finding out Nico was playing her and now pg.😯😮. Great story tried to not finish in one sitting but could not put down. Read THIS Series
